Today JayM says :

We have abundance all around us, and yet some people concentrate on how "little" we have. If you look at nature, the sky above us, the grains of sand, everything was made in abundance.

Pain and Pleasure

Hello my very dear readers,

First of all I would like to welcome our first visitor from Brazil who arrived on the blog yesterday. As I said, I am writing articles in English so that everybody can come and read what I have to share.
Yesterday I finished an article after two hours but after a bad move I closed the window and to my surprise nothing was saved. I really thought that my Zen attitude would have met its master this time but I managed to keep control. Despite some bad adventures like this one, writing this blog is always “ pleasure “ for me.

The topic of this article really made me understand a lot of things the first time I read it from the popular book of Anthony Robbins “ Awaken the giant within “. The concept of “Pain and Pleasure “ really revolutionized my way of thinking when it comes to taking actions in life. It also made me realize that we generally are responsible for our situation. It might wreck your head a little bit but try to understand it as it is rewarding.

Let me explain, for each decision you will have to take, you will be confronted to this duet “ pain/Pleasure”. Example : A person who is for overweighted will not act if he hasn't associated enough pleasure of being fit so that it overcomes the pain it will involve if he decides to get fit. Or it could also be that the pain associated of working out is too big and does not overcomes the feeling of being fit which is pleasure. Do you get the concept ?

You have the right to complain about your job, your situation but you need to know that if you do not take actions it's because you are still comfortable. The pleasure of staying like this is overcoming the pain of what involve changes ( searching a new job, unknown...). Now if this person associates massive pleasure in the mind of being in a new situation with a better job, happy and refreshed, it will overcome the pain of what it takes to go there and it will trigger “ Action “ towards the goal.

A question I always ask myself when I have to decide is “ Am I ready to pay the price ? “ I want X ( pleasure ) and the price is Y ( pain )... am I ready for it ? If the answer is no then I won't act,it is very simple. I won't complain neither about it as it was my choice, I don't want to pay the price. If it is Yes then I will take massive action until the end, pay the price and assume my decision if I don't reach the result wanted. I hate the concept of Winner/loser, for me you win as soon as you decided to take action and pay the price. The prize is not the result, the prize will be the journey towards the change and you will enjoy it.

Very deep article today so I won't develop more about it but I hope you could make yourself an idea of why people are where they are in their life.

If someone had a gun on a person you love would you do anything to save her ? Yes you would as the pain of seeing this person dying would be stronger than anything... you would pay any price.

Think about that until next time !

Take care and Thank you again.

I think I would do the best I could to save the person I love. It's impossible to see something like this and stay without acting.
